Family counselling is the most frequently provided service involving the child/teen and their parent(s). Other members may be involved (based upon the nature of the problems and the desires of the family).
The family meets with a Therapist to talk about their problems and how to solve them.
Individual counselling is available to youth when appropriate. Frequently, family counselling also involves some individual counselling with the child or teenager.

CFCC has arrangements with a variety of specialists to assist in assessing the needs of children and their families.
Consultations are provided, when required, based upon an initial assessment by CFCC.
Where specific type of consultation is required that cannot be provided by resources are routinely available at the agency, arrangements are made to access specialists in the community.
- Psychological Testing/Assessment
Psychological assessments are conducted, when required, to determine the nature of the problems and to develop recommendations to help with the problems.

CFCC staff often function as community case managers to assist clients in accessing multi-agency services, Wraparound Services or residential treatment services. The Local Resolution Committee approves cases for Wraparound Services and functions as the initial access point for the Community Services Coordination Network which coordinates all residential treatment placements in the area.
