Child and Family Counselling Centre of Elgin is incorporated as a Corporation Without Share Capital (i.e. non-profit) under the Corporations Act (Ontario). We are a non-profit, charitable organization.

The purpose of the organization is the operation of an agency to provide outpatient mental health services to the children of Elgin County and their families.

The bylaws of the corporation provide for a Board of 10 Directors that is representative of the full range of stakeholders in Elgin County. There are specific requirements to ensure that all geographic areas of Elgin County are represented.
